U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for a variety of scholarship opportunities available to assist them with meeting tuition requirements for culinary schools. The listing below includes organizations offering scholarships to students applying to The French Culinary Institute. Applications for some of these culinary education scholarships are on file with the Office of Financial Aid.

The Lily A. Barberio Culinary Arts Scholarship
Amount: Minimum of $21,000
Application Deadline: September 10
The Lily A. Barberio Culinary Arts Scholarship will be awarded to one student enrolled in a 2010 Culinary Arts career program for worthy educational effort at The French Culinary Institute. This scholarship was founded in honor of our alumna, Lily A. Barberio. Lily was a lover of all things culinary and one of FCI’s most successful graduates. The Friends of The FCI Fall Award
A $20,000 award consisting of $10,000 from Friends of The FCI, plus a matching contribution of $10,000 from The French Culinary Institute.
Application Deadline: September 24
Award Date: October 8
The Friends of the FCI Scholarship program provides financial assistance to students enrolling in Classic Culinary Arts or Classic Pastry Arts. The fall scholarship will be awarded to one student starting class in October. Apply online or download the application and mail it to:

The American Institute of Wine & Food Scholarship
Amount: $5,000
Application Deadline: November 19, 2010
The AIWF Scholarship will be awarded to one student enrolling in a Classic Culinary Arts program starting in December 2010. Based on professional promise, financial need, and previous, current, or intended service to the industry. To apply, download an application and mail it to:
