The New York Culinary Experience, October 3-4, 2009

The second annual New York Culinary Experience,  co-hosted by New York magazine and held at The French Culinary Institute on October 3-4, offered food lovers of all skill levels the chance to cook hands-on and up-close with more than 30 of the world’s most renowned chefs.

Participants enjoyed a weekend of sold-out events, learning professional techniques from industry giants in master cooking classes, attending Q&A sessions with restaurateurs and industry insiders, and, at the end of each day, a private cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception.

NYCE attendees also had the opportunity to participate in a silent auction to benefit the Future Chefs Scholarship program featuring one-of-a-kind items such as signed cookbooks, dinners, cooking tools, and more. The auction  raised more than $10,000 toward scholarships for aspiring chefs to attend The FCI.

The 2010 New York Culinary Experience will be held on October 2 and 3.
